Taking ‘selfie’ photos is now a popular trend but users have been struggling to remove the unnecessary background in images to focus on the main picture.
Sticker Mule has recently introduced Trace, a new app that lets users remove background instantly without having to use software or other complicated photo editing applications.
“Using Trace requires no design experience. Upload your image and the technology automatically removes the background in less than 10 seconds,” said Sticker Mule’s Anthony Thomas in a Product Hunt post.
At this stage, Trace by Sticker Mule is free to let users experience the app and then share their reviews. Thomas said the app has already been used in-house, saving Sticker Mule’s design team over 100 hours already.
“We want to help you make your awesome photos more awesome. Not everyone is a designer, but everyone wants to make beautiful things. Trace cuts out the subject so it can be used in all kinds of different projects,” he added.
Aside from removing the background, Trace also lets users add background color or images to enhance photos and then make these photos available for printing.
