San Francisco-based Together AI has raised $305 million in a Series B funding round, securing a $3.3 billion valuation for its AI Acceleration Cloud, revolutionizing AI infrastructure development by enhancing open-source AI models and generative AI models through its advanced inference engine to lead the industry.
This significant investment fuels the expansion of its AI Acceleration Cloud, which helps developers and enterprises train, fine-tune, and run inference for generative AI models at unmatched speed and efficiency.
Led by General Catalyst and Prosperity7 Ventures, the funding round saw participation from global investors, including Salesforce Ventures, NVIDIA, DAMAC Capital, Kleiner Perkins, March Capital, and Greycroft. These strategic partnerships reinforce Together AI’s vision of advancing open-source AI models across multiple modalities, including chat, image, audio, vision, code, and embeddings.
The company’s proprietary Inference engine, integrated with FlashAttention-3 kernels and advanced quantization techniques, delivers inference speeds two to three times faster than conventional solutions. Over 450,000 AI developers, AI-native companies, and enterprises—including Salesforce, Zoom, SK Telecom, Zomato, and The Washington Post—leverage Together AI’s platform to build modern AI applications.
