Sacramento-based Rhombus, a provider of cloud-managed physical security, has raised over $43 million in a recent funding round, affirming its position as a unified security platform with global reach and a commitment to continuous innovation.

The investment, co-led by Tru Arrow and Cota Capital, with an additional $17 million in debt financing from Silicon Valley Bank, signifies a strong endorsement of Rhombus’ unified, cloud-based security platform.

The fresh funding will fuel Rhombus’ strategic plans for expanding its operations and business reach. With a mission to enhance global safety through innovative and efficient physical security solutions, the company aims to leverage the funds further to strengthen its market position.

“This capital infusion is a testament to our investors’ and customers’ trust and confidence in our vision. With this funding, Rhombus will continue our trajectory of rapid growth,” said Garrett Larsson, CEO of Rhombus.

Unified Security Platform

Rhombus stands out with its unified, cloud-based physical security platform, seamlessly combining security cameras, access control, sensors, alarms, and integrations. The company’s simplified management features enable efficient multi-camera investigations and smart searches, enhancing security measures and saving valuable time for users.

“The opportunities are vast, and we are committed to leveraging this capital to pioneer innovative solutions, forge strategic partnerships, and further solidify our position as a leader in the industry,” added Larsson.

Having deployed over 100,000 cameras, sensors, and access control devices, Rhombus takes pride in safeguarding more than 30,000 locations worldwide. From Fortune 500 companies to school districts and cities, Rhombus addresses the diverse security needs of various entities, demonstrating its scalability and adaptability in the modern security landscape.

Continuous Innovation and Partnerships

Over the past year, Rhombus has demonstrated remarkable progress in expanding its ecosystem. Noteworthy highlights include the launch of Access Control for unified building security, the introduction of new smart cameras, upgraded environmental and door sensors, and strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Omnilert, Roboflow, Singlewire’s Informacast, Lumeo, and Pimloc.

Pete Ignatowicz, Senior Manager of Security Services at Ameriprise Financial, commended Rhombus for its transformative impact, citing increased situational awareness and resource efficiency. The company’s commitment to providing valuable, customized solutions and industry-leading support has garnered praise from clients.

Investor Confidence and Long-Term Partnership

The recent investment round reflects the confidence of leading investors like Tru Arrow and Cota Capital in Rhombus’ potential. Adam Silverschotz, Co-Founder of Tru Arrow Partners, expressed enthusiasm for Rhombus’s portfolio extension and expansion across Western markets.

The investment is positioned as the beginning of a long-term partnership, highlighting the potential seen in the startup as a next-generation cloud-managed physical security platform.

As Rhombus continues its growth trajectory, the company remains committed to innovating scalable solutions for the evolving security landscape.

With a focus on simplicity, efficiency, and ethical standards, Rhombus aims to make physical security stress-free. The recent investment sets the stage for Rhombus to play a pivotal role in the transition to modern security solutions on a global scale.
