Climate tech startup Fiber Global has raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand its sustainable building materials platform, transforming waste streams like cardboard and paper into low-carbon construction products for the global market.
Fiber Global, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Brownsburg, Indiana, is revolutionizing the climate tech sector by addressing the carbon footprint of the construction industry. With construction materials accounting for over 10 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, the company’s approach provides a much-needed low-carbon alternative.
Its proprietary process converts waste streams into a new class of sustainable building materials, helping reduce emissions while conserving energy, water, and landfill space. This investment round provides us with the ability to continue rapidly scaling our United States manufacturing footprint and production capacity,” said KC McCreery, Founder and CEO of Fiber Global.
Forged Fiber Board Leads the Charge
At the core of Fiber Global’s innovation lies its flagship product, Forged Fiber Board (FFB). It is a durable, formaldehyde-free panel made from reclaimed corrugated cardboard. This product serves both the construction and furniture industries, delivering high performance without harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Beyond safety, it is GREENGUARD GOLD certified, reinforcing its place as a truly sustainable building material.
Led by DBL Partners, the $20 million Series A funding will help scale Fiber Global’s US manufacturing operations. Ira Ehrenpreis, DBL’s Founder and Managing Partner, has joined Fiber Global’s board to support its growth strategy.
The investment not only validates the company’s climate tech solution but also reflects the growing global demand for low-carbon construction products with superior performance and cost efficiency.
“KC and his team are building a platform with the potential to revolutionize the building materials sector, combining sustainability, performance, and affordability at scale. Fiber Global is building a better and more economically compelling product that also has a superior environmental footprint,” said Ira Ehrenpreis.
A Circular Vision for Resilient Infrastructure
Fiber Global adopts a circular manufacturing approach, a process that reclaims waste streams and supports local economies. With the rising urgency to decarbonize the built environment, its scalable platform addresses the dual challenge of climate impact and affordability. By replacing traditional materials with sustainable alternatives, Fiber Global helps the industry move toward a more resourceful and resilient future.
Over the past two and a half years, the startup has focused on execution and scalability, collaborating with top materials companies to deploy its solutions. These partnerships prove that climate innovation can meet market demands without compromising quality. As Fiber Global expands, it aims to anchor a new generation of low-carbon construction products through bold innovation and purpose-driven design.
