Dropzone AI Raises $37M to Supercharge Autonomous Cybersecurity Agents

Dropzone AI will use the fresh funds to support the development of new AI agents to handle additional manual cybersecurity tasks

Dropzone AI, a Seattle-based cybersecurity startup, has raised $37 million in Series B funding to expand its autonomous (Security Operations Center) SOC analyst platform, grow its global presence, and deepen cybersecurity, AI agent, security automation, LLM-powered security, and ecosystem integration initiatives.

Dropzone AI’s autonomous SOC analyst mimics the decision-making processes of elite analysts, using large language models (LLMs) to manage Tier 1 security alert triage with speed and accuracy. This AI agent interprets, prioritizes, and acts on real-time alerts in minutes—eliminating the need for repetitive manual review.

With cybersecurity operations growing increasingly complex, this automation empowers human teams to shift focus from routine triage to proactive threat hunting and incident response. As a result, Dropzone AI’s autonomous SOC analyst has become a game-changer in modern security automation.

Funding to Fuel Expansion and New AI Agents

The $37 million investment, led by Theory Ventures with support from Madrona, Decibel, Pioneer Square Labs, and In-Q-Tel, will enable Dropzone AI to expand its autonomous SOC analyst deployments globally. CEO Edward Wu said the funding will also support the development of new AI agents to handle additional manual cybersecurity tasks.

Moreover, the company plans to scale its sales, marketing, and customer-success teams to meet rising global demand without requiring clients to increase their budgets or staffing levels.

Dropzone AI’s autonomous SOC analyst seamlessly integrates with existing security infrastructure, including SIEM, EDR, and ticketing systems. This plug-and-play adaptability ensures enhanced threat detection and operational efficiency for organizations of all sizes and maturity levels.

The platform already supports over 100 enterprises, including UiPath, Zapier, Pipe, and Mysten Labs, as well as MSSPs such as Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions. In CBTS’s case, the platform reduced Tier 1 alert volume by up to 50 percent, freeing analysts to focus on strategic areas, such as onboarding and advanced threat mitigation.

Building the Future of Cyber Defense with LLMs

Edward Wu envisions a future where defenders wield the same cutting-edge tools as adversaries. Dropzone AI’s LLM-powered security agents bring the power of large language models directly into the heart of SOC operations, giving security teams the capacity to outmaneuver attackers.

The company’s mission is clear: equip cyber defenders with intelligent, scalable tools that turn reactive defense into proactive resilience. Through its autonomous SOC analyst and upcoming AI agent lineup, Dropzone AI aims to lead a transformative shift in cybersecurity.

“We’re driving a generational shift in cybersecurity from manpower-bound, alert-chasing SOC teams to SOC teams backed by an army of autonomous AI agents that get to focus on what truly matters,” said founder and Chief Executive Edward Wu.

“This change is not optional; it’s essential. We exist to level the playing field for cyber defenders, and we can field these next-generation capabilities right now,” added Wu.
