Campus Secures $46M Series B to Reform Affordable Higher Education

Campus provides an alternative to traditional higher education’s rising costs and slow pace

Campus, a leading edtech startup, has raised $46 million in Series B funding, bringing its total investment to over $100 million for transforming affordable higher education by offering online instruction from professors at top universities.

With a strong focus on AI and business skills, Campus enables students to enter the workforce directly or transfer to four-year institutions such as NYU, Penn State, Temple University, UC San Diego, and Butler University.

“It’s effortless – in America, we should have elite education for everyone – everyone should be able to learn from the top professors in the country, develop useful skills and then use those skills to create a great life for themselves. And this should all be possible without going into debt – that’s what we’re building here at Campus,” said Tade Oyerinde, Campus founder and Chancellor.

Innovating the Two-Year College Model

Founded by Tade Oyerinde, Campus provides an alternative to traditional higher education’s rising costs and slow pace. As an edtech startup, it offers affordable higher education through online instruction delivered by professors from Stanford, Princeton, UCLA, and Howard. The model is backed by research proving it doubles two-year college graduation rates.

Campus provides on-demand tutoring, personal coaching, and structured academic support to ensure student success. The curriculum is designed to equip students with AI and business skills, preparing them for high-demand industries. This online instruction method lowers tuition costs while maintaining the quality of top-tier university education.

Pathways to Career or Four-Year Institutions

Graduates of Campus can seamlessly transition to the workforce with specialized AI and business skills or continue their studies at four-year institutions. Schools like NYU, Penn State, Temple University, UC San Diego, and Butler University have already accepted Campus graduates.

This affordable higher education model offers flexibility, allowing students to chart their academic and professional future.

“Students are questioning the value of a college degree, and with good reason. Academia simply hasn’t kept pace with expectations and aspirations. At the same time, the cost has increased to a price point beyond what is attainable or practical,” said Ken Chenault, Chairman & Managing Director General Catalyst.

“Campus has created a model rooted in the rigor and legacy of American higher education with the benefit of technology and innovation that students will require to thrive in an increasingly competitive global economy,” added Ken.

Expanding the Future of Online Learning

With its $46 million Series B funding, Campus plans to scale operations and refine its technology-driven education platform. The startup aims to make affordable higher education more accessible by increasing online instruction offerings and enhancing career-focused programs in AI and business skills.

As more students seek alternatives to costly traditional colleges, Campus is establishing itself as a leader in the edtech startup space, providing high-quality education at lower costs. By collaborating with four-year institutions, the platform continues to bridge the gap between online instruction and career opportunities.
