Adaptyx Biosciences, a biowearables innovator transforming continuous monitoring through molecular sensing and AI-powered health solutions designed to drive the future of personalized medicine, has raised $14 million in seed funding.
The seed round was led by Interlagos, bringing its total funding to $23 million. The investment marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of wearable health technology, signaling a future where real-time molecular data will shape how individuals manage their health.
“Healthcare suffers from a data deficit,” said Vijit Sabnis, Ph.D., CEO & Co‑Founder, Adaptyx.
“Lab tests are only snapshots of health and don’t capture the body’s changing physiology, leaving blind spots that prevent addressing many of today’s health challenges. Adaptyx gives patients and clinicians a continuous view of what’s happening inside the body, transforming previously unseen molecular signals into empowering insights,” added Vijit Sabnis.
Adaptyx, Redefining Continuous Health Tracking
The biowearables platform from Adaptyx Biosciences moves beyond glucose tracking, enabling continuous monitoring of a wide range of biochemical signals, including small molecules, hormones, electrolytes, and proteins.
By integrating molecular sensing with AI-powered health analytics, Adaptyx provides real-time visibility into the body’s molecular processes, paving the way for personalized medicine that detects issues before symptoms appear.
Our mission is to expand health monitoring beyond glucose to include the many molecules that drive human health, creating a rich data pipeline that guides patients and clinicians to make the best decisions at the right time. We’re starting with life-saving clinical applications and will ultimately bring this capability to everyone,” said Vijit Sabnis
Unlike conventional biosensors, the company’s programmable DNA-based molecular switches respond to specific analytes with high accuracy and reversibility. This innovation allows biowearables to continuously measure hundreds of biomarkers, setting a new benchmark for continuous monitoring in healthcare.
“Each new switch generates structured datasets that make the system smarter and faster, rapidly expanding the analyte library and powering new applications,” said Alex Yoshikawa, Ph.D., Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder, Adaptyx.
Accelerating Innovation through the Molecular Switch Foundry
Adaptyx’s Molecular Switch Foundry combines automated design, parallelized testing, and AI-driven optimization to shorten biosensor development from years to weeks. This breakthrough process strengthens the company’s molecular sensing capabilities and supports faster adaptation to emerging medical needs.
CEO and Co-Founder Vijit Sabnis, Ph.D., said the company aims to “turn invisible biology into actionable data.” Adaptyx plans to support both clinical and consumer applications in personalized medicine by accelerating AI-powered health analytics and expanding its biosensor library.
“Adaptyx is precisely the category-defining innovation healthcare has been waiting for. This team isn’t chasing incremental change—they’re re-architecting how we observe physiology, continuously and at scale,” said Kristina Simmons, Founder and General Partner, Overwater Ventures.
Clinical and Wellness Applications
Adaptyx’s biowearables are being developed for several use cases in continuous monitoring and AI-powered health management:
- Heart Failure Management: Continuous electrolyte and cardiac biomarker tracking enables early instability detection and timely intervention.
- Hormone Optimization: Ongoing hormone and metabolite monitoring helps maintain endocrine balance and fertility health.
- Drug and Critical Care Monitoring: Real-time measurement of medication levels ensures safer dosing in clinical environments.
- Personalized Wellness: Continuous metabolic and stress tracking supports recovery and longevity through personalized medicine.
Each application showcases how molecular sensing transforms patient care, bridging the gap between diagnostics and daily health management.
Building on Academic Excellence
Founded in 2022, Adaptyx Biosciences grew from over a decade of research at Stanford University and the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub by Professors H Tom Soh and Joseph M DeSimone. The company holds an exclusive license to this intellectual property, laying a strong foundation for long-term growth in biowearables and personalized medicine.
“After 17 years developing this technology in academia, we’re ready to bring continuous molecular monitoring from the lab to real patients,” said Professor H Tom Soh, Co-Founder and Scientific Advisor, Adaptyx.
“The ability to continuously track multiple biomarkers simultaneously is a breakthrough that will transform how we understand human health and improve care for everyone,” added Tom.
The $14 million seed financing will accelerate research and development, scale the engineering and data science teams, and advance clinical trials toward FDA clearance. Adaptyx Biosciences plans to expand its molecular sensing pipeline to include hundreds of new analytes and establish a large-scale data platform that supports AI-powered health insights for clinicians and consumers alike.
While the technology remains investigational, its promise in continuous monitoring and personalized medicine positions Adaptyx Biosciences at the forefront of next-generation healthcare.
