Olive Young’s SKIN SCAN service, powered by South Korean beauty-tech company ChoiceTech Korea (CTK), has surpassed 1 million cumulative uses, marking a major milestone for the AI-driven beauty retail. The service enhances the in-store consumer experience through advanced skin analysis technology and is now operating at scale across Olive Young’s nationwide retail network.

Recently, SKIN SCAN expanded into an integrated digital platform connected to the Olive Young mobile app, allowing customers to access and manage their skin analysis data anytime, anywhere.

The diagnostic engine behind SKIN SCAN is ChoiceDx, an AI-based solution that evaluates skin type, pigmentation, pores, wrinkles, and sebum levels using high-precision optical technology. What sets Olive Young SKIN SCAN apart is that the data no longer disappears after a single visit. Instead, it feeds into a longer customer journey focused on repeat engagement and ongoing skin management.

From In-Store Tool to Ongoing Skincare Journey

Currently operational in major Olive Young stores, SKIN SCAN has become one of the retailer’s flagship in-store beauty diagnostic services. Through the expanded collaboration with CTK, Olive Young has transformed SKIN SCAN from a one-time experience into a comprehensive digital skincare management service.

After receiving an in-store diagnosis, customers can now review their skin analysis results and historical data directly through the Olive Young mobile app. This enables users to build structured, personalized skincare routines over time, strengthening long-term engagement with the brand.

“Our collaboration with Olive Young marks a turning point where our AI diagnostic technology has moved beyond pilot validation into a fully operational service platform,” said Wonsuk Choi, CEO of ChoiceTech Korea. “We will continue working with Olive Young and other global partners to help establish new standards for skin and scalp diagnostic experiences,” added Choi.

Global Expansion Backed by Korean Retail Expertise

CTK currently supplies skin and scalp diagnostic solutions to partners in more than 60 countries. By leveraging the technological expertise and operational experience developed within Korea’s advanced retail environment, the company plans to further accelerate its global expansion.

ChoiceTech Korea (CTK) is a global leader in AI-based optical design and image analysis solutions. The company combines expertise in precision optics, AI algorithms, IoT, and mobile user experience to deliver innovative diagnostic technologies for the beauty-tech and med-tech industries.

At the core of CTK’s innovation is ChoiceDx, an AI-powered diagnostic brand that offers high-precision analysis of skin, scalp, and hair. Trusted by partners in over 60 countries, CTK provides solutions ranging from professional-grade in-store devices to fully integrated digital platforms that transform complex data into meaningful insights.

Committed to its philosophy of “Innovation for People,” ChoiceTech Korea continues to play a leading role in the digital transformation of the global beauty retail ecosystem.
