Iantrek, Inc. has raised $42 million in Series C financing to accelerate its bio-interventional ophthalmic surgery (BIOS) innovations, advance the uveoscleral pathway in glaucoma treatment, expand its ophthalmic surgery portfolio, and prepare the US commercial launch of AlloFlo Uveo.
The round was led by US Venture Partners (USVP), with participation from aMoon Fund, Visionary Ventures, Sectoral Asset Management, Radius Special Situations Fund, and Civilization Ventures.
Glaucoma, a vision-threatening disease, damages the optic nerve irreversibly. Traditionally, surgeons relied on trabecular-focused devices or medication to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP). Iantrek’s BIOS platform changes this landscape.
Traditional MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery) devices focus only on the trabecular pathway, neglecting the uveoscleral pathway, a second natural route for fluid drainage. For patients whose trabecular devices are no longer effective, there has been no surgical option that targets this route, leaving over 2.5 million US eyes in need.
By offering this innovative minimally invasive access to the uveoscleral pathway, the company provides a new surgical route that was previously limited to pharmaceuticals. “Our mission is to address a major unmet need in glaucoma care, and this fundraiser marks a pivotal moment in helping us achieve it,” said Adam Szaronos, CEO of Iantrek.
“More than 2.5 million eyes in the US are experiencing waning efficacy from previous Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) procedures targeting the trabecular pathway. AlloFlo Uveo enables access to the uveoscleral pathway, the eye’s other natural drainage system, much like giving a thoracic surgeon the ability to enhance the second lung,” added Szaronos.
Clinical Evidence Strengthens Momentum
In 2025, the American Academy of Ophthalmology published peer-reviewed findings in Ophthalmology Science. Patients treated with AlloFlo Uveo through bio-reinforced cyclodialysis saw a 34 percent reduction in IOP, a 60 percent decline in medication reliance, and no serious adverse events after two years. These results highlight the clinical promise of BIOS and set the stage for broader adoption in global ophthalmic surgery.
Alongside AlloFlo Uveo, Iantrek is advancing AlloSert Uveo, CanaloFlo, and C.Rex. These next-generation bio-interventional and micro-interventional solutions improve surgical precision and expand access to natural drainage pathways. The company has also completed first-in-human trials for its next bio-interventional device, with commercial launch slated for 2026.
“This raise reflects strong confidence in Iantrek’s bold vision and disruptive approach to interventional glaucoma. Their platform is redefining what’s possible by combining simplicity, precision, and improved outcomes,” said Casey Tansey, General Partner at USVP.
Leadership and Vision
Founded by ophthalmic innovator Sean Ianchulev, MD, MPH, and led by CEO Adam Szaronos, Iantrek operates from White Plains, NY. With Series C capital in hand, the company aims to redefine the future of ophthalmic surgery by targeting unmet needs in glaucoma care and establishing BIOS as a standard in clinical practice.
“With approximately 3,000 procedures performed through its early access program, surgeon demand for uveoscleral pathway access is clear,” said Sean Ianchulev, MD, MPH, Professor of Ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear of Mount Sinai.
Investors recognized that Iantrek’s BIOS platform pioneers the only surgical solution that taps into the uveoscleral pathway, a significant opportunity where demand and potential impact converge. With peer-reviewed studies demonstrating durability, safety, and meaningful therapeutic outcomes, along with substantial early procedure counts, the platform provides real-world evidence of value.
