The Israeli AI Security Startup That Just Landed $100M, What Are They Building?

Noma’s software auto-discovers all AI applications within an enterprise network

Noma Security, a rising force in AI agent security, has secured $100 million in funding to enhance its AI risk management, cybersecurity posture, and enterprise protection. The New York-based Israeli startup, backed by Evolution Equity Partners, is rapidly expanding its AI discovery capabilities, reshaping how companies secure AI across North America and the EMEA region.

As artificial intelligence reshapes enterprise operations, Noma Security steps in to tackle a rising concern: unmanaged AI agents. These agents, often deployed without oversight, can create hidden vulnerabilities. Noma’s platform empowers cybersecurity teams to monitor, analyze, and defend AI systems with precision and accuracy.

The funding round, led by Evolution Equity Partners with support from Ballistic Ventures and Glilot Capital, enables Noma to accelerate product development while growing its Tel Aviv-based research and engineering teams. Simultaneously, it will strengthen international go-to-market efforts, especially across North America and the EMEA region.

Visibility, Control, and Confidence

Noma’s software auto-discovers all AI applications within an enterprise network. It visually maps each workload to its responsible employee, highlights vulnerabilities, and ranks issues by severity. Additionally, it detects threats such as poisoned datasets, malicious open-source components, and AI models with excessive access privileges.

Niv Braun, Noma Security CEO and Co-Founder, said, “AI agent adoption is exploding within our customer base, and CISOs understand that AI innovation must be thoughtfully deployed with full guardrails. Noma Security is the only cybersecurity vendor to offer an end-to-end platform purpose-built to identify and mitigate the uniquely advanced risks of agentic AI.

“Alongside our customers and partners, we built the most comprehensive security and governance solution for both AI and agents,” added Braun.

Importantly, the platform scans development environments to catch flaws before deployment. After release, it applies runtime guardrails to block malicious prompts and offers real-time AI risk management. This dual-phase approach ensures continuous security from code to production.

Regulatory Compliance Built In

CEO Niv Braun and CTO Alon Tron launched Noma less than a year ago. Since then, the company has attracted dozens of enterprise clients and emerged as a trusted player in the AI security space. With its latest funding, Noma is well-positioned to lead a global movement toward the safe and scalable integration of AI.

In today’s regulatory landscape, organizations must balance innovation with compliance. Noma’s platform reviews AI workloads against global standards, such as the EU AI Act, and verifies adherence to open-source licensing. This built-in compliance monitoring saves enterprises time, resources, and potential legal exposure.

By focusing on AI agent security, Noma not only protects but empowers enterprises to adopt AI at scale, without compromise.

From real-time threat detection to proactive defense, Noma Security transforms how companies view AI, not just as a tool but as a territory that must be governed wisely.

Richard Seewald, Evolution Equity Partners Founder and Managing Partner, said, “We are intimately familiar with the AI security category and chose to invest in Noma Security based on two main factors. First, the Noma Security founding team had the foresight to develop a comprehensive AI security and governance platform that addresses all CISO challenges related to AI security. Second, as evidenced by rapid customer growth, Noma Security quickly found product-market fit within the enterprise CISO’s organization with a solution for agentic AI security and governance.”
